Noctua has been offering mounting upgrade-kits for various platforms free-of-charge since 2006 and remains committed to providing this type of compatibility upgrade-kits cost-free whenever possible. 

Unlike previous and future compatibility upgrades that enable customers to keep using their coolers on new platforms, the new offset AM5 mounting bars represent a performance upgrade that enables customers to fine-tune the performance of their coolers. In order to be able to meet the expected demand, we ask for a small service fee that helps covering parts of the shipping and handling costs. While our total cost for the parts, handling and shipping are much higher than the service charge of EUR/USD 3.90 (website form) or 4.90 (Amazon), we greatly welcome this contribution to making performance upgrades like this one possible and easily available to users of existing heatsinks rather than reserving them for new heatsink models.
